30 fished the Bank Holiday Monday Open Match on Windmill and Island Pools.

MAP’s Shaun Little, fishing pole and worm up in the water on unfancied Peg 31 Island, easily came out on top of a quality field.  Steve Partington, one of Mosellas regulars, fished pole and worm also.  Mark Hemming, fishing method feeder, had a quality bag of big carp up to 10lb.  The recent rain has increased the water levels by 9 inches and improved the fishing, producing nine weights of over 100lbs with an average of 75lbs per man.

27 fished Manor Farm Leisure’s Sunday Open, which was split between Windmill and Boundary Pools.  Mosella’s Steve Partington just came out on top, fishing pole and worm to the island on fancied Peg 24.  He was very closely followed by Middy’s Andy Quarmby, who fished pole and pellet, also to the island on Peg 15.  Holidaymaker, Dave Olly from Manchester came a close third, fishing pole and pellet on Peg 42 Boundary.

Golf Course Update

We will be opening the Golf Course on Sunday 6th May.  We have been unable to mow to our normal standard because of the wet conditions and there are still a few wet patches on the course.
